I am so excited that school is out for the summer tomorrow.    My oldest will be  in 4th grade next year and I can not believe it.  Children grow too fast.   Lets celebrate summer vacation together this year with 4 different specials through out the summer!!  Feel free to call me with any questions,  I would love to hear from you!

Childhood Hobby session:

Does your child collect dolls or baseball memorabilia; play soccer or baseball?

Bring their special items and gear in and have a session of them photographed with it!

When:  June 22, 2009

Time: Appointments avaliable during the day in half hour time slots

Session fee $20 and free set of wallets for your child to pass out to his/her friends.

Minimum order of $75 dollars does apply.

What times : appointments will be avaliable between 1pm – 4pm only.

Session fee $25 and a magnet for your refrigerator!

Indoor couple/sibling session:

When: August 5th, 2009

Time: Appointments will be avaliable through out the day

Session fee of $20 with a free calendar on every order above $150.

Historic Bridge Park Family (5 subjects of less) Session:

When:  August 25th and August 28th

Time: Appointments will be avaliable from 8-10:30am and 7-9pm in half hour slots

Blessing Collection

Marsman Photography just started a new collection and I would like to share it with you…

BLESSING COLLECTION
Every stage at the beginning of life has its own blessings to go with it.  Capturing those memories through the Blessing Collection club will give you Joy to last a lifetime.

Newborn to 3 month
This session we will take time and capture your blessings tiny little features; such as, nose, fingers, toes, and ears.
Mom and Dad are asked to wear a black long-sleeved shirt and baby may be bare or diapered.

6 month
This session your blessing should be sitting and gaining independence.
Clothing should be simple from overalls, solid outfits, and tulle skirts.

1 year
This session your blessing should be blossoming with personality.
Clothing should still be simple as we don’t want to override the personality.

Images must be ordered with in 30days of each session to receive Blessing Collection Club’s pricing, all sessions must be of the same child, and the membership expires at the age of 15 months.

All Blessing Collection Club Members receive:
1/2 off all session fees during time of membership
10% off all products (including birth announcements)
Softcover photobook with select pictures from the last year of sessions.

Christmas

I have been doing a lot of pictures lately for families for their christmas cards.   It’s that time of year again!  Christmas is not that far away and I hope you will plan your next session with Marsman Photography to get your Christmas photos taken then mail them to all your friends and family through a custom made Christmas Card so you can wish them a blessed season!

Warm

I have always been a fan of the classic black and white photographs and my last session I had was with a very sweet baby girl whose eyes and smile would just warm your heart so I used the warm tone of Sephia. WOW It was a MUST share!

Fall

I love fall!  It’s actually my favorite time of the year and besides Christmas the only other time I decorate my house inside-out.  The Colors are just gorgeous, the air is crisp, Michigan apples are being picked, and its a GREAT time for outdoor family pictures.  I had the privileged of photographing a married couple at a park close to my house – It was a GREAT time!  Call for your outdoor fall session soon, as the colors won’t be around much longer!  They are disappearing quickly!

Birthday Pictures

Do you do Birthday pictures every year on your child’s birthday?  It’s a great way to remember to do pictures of your children.  I would suggest every year above the age of two and all those special times of the year like family pictures, Christmas, Easter, ect…

Before the age of two I would suggest Newborn, 3mth, 6mth, 9mth, and their first birthday!  Then every year after that.  Not forgetting the “in between” ages!  Every year is special because every year the child grows and becomes the person they are to be, don’t forget to capture those special times!

50th Wedding Anniversary

I had a great night Friday night with the Lewis family as they celebrated the marraige that Ruth and Cecil have shared for 50 years!  Its such a GREAT blessing to go to an event as a photographer and friend and see the love two people share for each other.  Not to mention the friends and family that poured out their love on them as they looked back and celebrated 50 years of marriage.  Their Son and three daughters planned this surprise party for their parents in admiration, thanks, and love.  It was great to be considered part of this night!

My congratulations goes out to the happily married couple of 50 years!

Bellies and Babies Tour

WOOOHOOO!!!! My Sister (Heidi) is going with me to Sandy Puc’s “Bellies and Babies Tour” when it is in Grand Rapids. I am so excited to learn from Sandy and her expertise with babies and maternity picture. My sister has gone with me as my assistant to different shoots and I grateful to her for her love of my photography and just photography in general! We should have a GREAT time at this 5 hour program with trade show where both my sister and I will learn stuff from Marketing to lighting to posing that Sandy uses on a daily bases. We are super excited to spend time together learning from Sandy and what I am sure my sister and I will do afterward – DINNER!

I’m sure I will post afterwards and hopefully have a couple pictures to go with it!
